The Designer's Deck

The deck of cards is meant to highlight the human connection promoted by our group's manifesto, as play is an integral part of humanity and one of the oldest, most universal ways to connect. A designer can have many different tools and assets (just as there are a lot of cards) but every deck has five special cards—which represent the five concepts of our manifesto. These will always stand out and remain integral to a designer's success in designing for humans.
The manifesto is communicated through the backside of the posters, which doubles as game instructions and explains the concept. The cards' illustrations are made entirely out of typography. The project is accompanied by an animation.
From my own experience, card games are played by people of all age groups, offering the opportunity to communicate our manifesto to a wide audience. As a deck of cards can be played in lots of different ways, is rather inexpensive and easy to store, it furthermore highlights its ability to cater to a broad audience, both in terms of age and location—a concept connecting humans.
